Colorado Parks and Wildlife

If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all, plan your trip to Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Loveland, Colorado. The park is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It offers outdoor recreation and some of the best hiking trails in the country. The weather is ideal, as it’s usually sunny but not too hot, so you can hike without worrying about sunburn!

Horseback riding trails are also available for those who prefer to travel on four legs instead of two. There are plenty of places to camp in Colorado Parks and Wildlife. You can even stay in cabins if you want a more luxurious experience than camping offers!

Loveland Museum

Located at 503 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO, the Loveland Museum is a beautiful place to learn about the history of Loveland. It features exhibits on many different topics, including dinosaurs, Native Americans, and the local history of the area. Loveland visitors can explore these exhibits through interactive displays that include artifacts from each era as well as classic albums taken during those times by local photographers who documented various events in their communities.

The Loveland Museum was founded in 1937 by local author, collector, curator, and mountain guide Harold Dunning.

The Loveland Museum will proudly present an exhibition of paintings and assemblages created by award-winning musician, activist, and accomplished artist John Mellencamp through February 12, 2023.

Benson Sculpture Garden

The Benson Sculpture Garden is a hidden gem in Loveland, Colorado. The sculpture park, which artist and sculptor Donald Lipski created, is open to the public and features over 100 sculptures spread across over 25 acres of land.

The sculpture in the park is made from materials ranging from steel and copper to bronze and marble. Most of the sculptures are placed in outdoor settings, but some are inside buildings on the property. The garden is also home to a small cafe where visitors can enjoy a snack or meal while enjoying all the beauty.

Devils Backbone Open Space

Red-tailed hawks soar above, grasslands carpeted with wildflowers, and towering rock formations are just some of the natural features to enjoy at Devil’s Backbone Open Space. Located near Horsetooth Mountain Open Space and Rimrock Open Space, the 3,007-acre park has 17.25 miles of trail that connect to other parks for hiking, running, horseback riding, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. Close-up inspection of the rock outcrop and long vistas provide opportunities for observing nature and enjoying a scenic view of the area.

Boyd Lake State Park

Boyd Lake State Park is located at 3720 N County Rd 11c, Loveland Co, and offers Loveland visitors a chance to enjoy outdoor recreation in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The lake provides many types of water activities, including boating, fishing, and swimming. Many hiking trails lead through the surrounding mountains and forests.

Boyd Lake State Park has been open since the 1960s but was initially known as Boyd Reservoir. The lake was created in 1955 when two dams were built on the Big Thompson River to control flooding and provide water for irrigation. In 1968 it became Boyd Lake State Park due to its popularity with visitors from all over Colorado.

Loveland Ski Area

Loveland Ski Area in downtown Lovelands has been a popular ski destination since its opening in 1939. It’s known for its incredible snow conditions and terrain that appeal to all skill levels.

Loveland Ski Area offers a variety of activities, including:

-Night skiing

-Snowboarding at the Loveland Basin Terrain Park

-Cross-country skiing and tubing (in winter)

-Hiking and biking trails (in summer)

The Promenade Shops At Centerra

The shops at Centerra are located in an open-air plaza. It offers stores for clothes, jewelry, footwear, and more, as well as cinemas and restaurants.

This outdoor lifestyle center houses specialty stores like White House Black Market, Express, Banana Republic, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Victoria’s Secret, and anchor stores Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Barnes & Noble. The MetroLux 14 Theatre is also located here.

Rialto Theater

The Rialto Theater at 228 E 4th St, Loveland CO, is an excellent example of a historical building that has been preserved and restored to its original state.

The Rialto Theater was built in the 1920s and was initially called the Loveland Theatre. It features a wide variety of events, including concerts by famous artists like John Denver and Kenny Rogers and plays put on by local theater groups like the Loveland Players and Loveland Community Theater Group (LCTG).

Sweetheart Festival

The Sweetheart Festival is a sweet sixteen for the eyes. It’s an annual event held downtown Lovelands that celebrates love and the people who make it happen. It’s a weekend-long celebration of love and romance held every February in Loveland, CO. The event features dozens of events and activities sure to delight you and your sweetheart.

You’ll find plenty of ways to celebrate at the Sweetheart Festival. You can take advantage of the many romantic opportunities around town, like couples massages or dating games. If you’d instead enjoy each other’s company, then there are plenty of options for that as well, including a dance party or a romantic walk through the city park.

Valentine Remailing Program

The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Postal Service have been teaming up for 77 years with their internationally renowned Valentine Remailing Program, the largest of its kind in the nation. It’s an event that brings people together to send valentines cards to their loved ones who are far away.

To get involved and be a part of this important local tradition, you must bring your valentines cards and letters to the designated drop-off location. Then wait for them to be delivered! All Valentines cards sent through the Loveland Valentine Program before or on February 4 will be postmarked and mailed on February 4. Valentines Cards and letters received after February 4 will be postmarked on the day they are received.

Colorado Eagles

The Colorado Eagles, a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Loveland, Colorado, play in the Pacific Division of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The Eagles were established as an expansion franchise in the Central Hockey League in 2003 and won two Ray Miron President’s Cups, five conference titles, three regular season titles, and six division titles in their eight years there. In June 2011, they joined the ECHL. The Eagles were granted membership as an evolution team in the American Hockey League beginning with the 2018-2019 season as a fellow of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.
