Founded in 1882 and incorporated on April 1, 1888, Timnath is a small agricultural/farming community located southeast of Fort Collins, Colorado, approximately one-half mile east of the Harmony Road/Interstate 25 interchange.
The incorporated area of Timnath Co, as of 2013, measures 5.05 square mile of land.
DEMOGRAPHICS
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town of Timnath community has a total population of 7,839 (in 2021). The median age is 35 years old. The average household size is 3.34 and the average family size is 3.4.

The river starts at an elevation of 8,000 feet above sea level and flows down over 1,200 feet before reaching its mouth at Cache La Poudre Lake near Fort Collins. It also forms part of the Cache La Poudre Wilderness Area within Rocky Mountain National Park.
